Chester at it again!

Some of you no doubt remember our dog Chester from Loja! He is a bit of a magician with all of his tricks and mischief! Well I was in Loja this weekend visiting everyone and he has a new trick. Because his owner is in a wheelchair, when he is tied up (usually after he has just had a bath since like all dogs he likes to roll in dirt or worse) she cannot put his food right in front of him so he has learned to help her! Soooo sweet!!

My Home in Cuenca

Por Fin! Pictures of my home in Cuenca! It has only been two weeks living here but we love it! Choosing a place to live here was a bit tricky since Ecuadorians do not always feel the need to have windows . . . you will notice from the pictures that one of the bedrooms (mine) has a window but actually the window only goes to the kitchen! And my roommates bedroom . . . well you cannot stand up straight in the room, only in the middle. She has a window though that looks out towards the front! The apartment is brand new but true to Ecuadorian workmanship, the windows do not always meet the wall. There are spaces and because Cuenca is colder then Loja, it gets quite cold. But we have hot water so there is always a silver lining!
