Floreana Island: Post Office Bay
At Post Office Bay, since the 18th century whalers kept a wooden barrel that served as post office. Sailors would write letters and leave them in the barrel and other passing sailors returning home would pick up letters and hand deliver them.
Cards and letters are still placed in the barrel without any postage. Visitors sift through the letters and cards in order to deliver them by hand.
Dolphins
This was amazing! We were sailing to another part of Floreana and actually minutes before we say Eagle Ray's jumping out of the water, amazing! And then this huge group of dolphins appeared and swam along with our boat. It was awesome!
